Catering with Olivia
Olivia Quinlan is the beautiful, talented Catering Manager here at Giancarlo’s. Olivia is not only just behind the scenes, but is fully hands on during every catering event that she plans. Olivia provides the Giancarlo’s Experience with the personalized touch in each detail. Olivia truly loves what she does, but more cares about the customers and their love of the finished product. I sat down with Olivia and asked her how she felt coming into the catering department at Giancarlo's. She explains, “I didn't know what I got myself into” and smiles. I could tell flashbacks were rolling through her head as we were talking. “We started off mostly in the corporate world, with small lunches and businesses. We knew we wanted to grow, but it was much more of a process. We had to take into consideration that we didn't want to take away from service at the restaurant, but really work together to grow as a team.”
Olivia then went onto explaining her love for catering. She said, “The thing about catering, we realized how much truly could be done: full service at someone’s house or business, bringing food, servers, and chefs, and providing displays… there really is no maximum for what we can do.We are able to provide the Giancarlo’s experience anywhere! It is very rare that is it impossible for us to take on something. Not only because of our resources, but being experienced and educated on the ins and outs of being off site. We definitely haven't topped it, but we’ve gotten good at what we do” Olivia explains with excitement.
When I asked Olivia what her favorite catering event that she has done so far was she looked at me and said, “I don't think there is any way I can just choose one! At this point every single catering event has been success. But I love the events where I can show my own personal touch and creativity, and make it different from the past. I love Giancarlo’s catering because there is always a meaning behind it. We are not only bringing the food, but we are bringing the Giancarlo’s experience and adding to their occasion.”
