Summer Wedding 7.1.17
July first was the biggest day in Giancarlo’s catering of the year. “Giancarlo’s never backs down from a challenge. Everyone stepped up when it was most important to, and all hands on deck were needed. Each occasion was amazing for the customer, which is what matters most” Olivia Quinlan, Catering Manager. The preparation for July 1st occurred days prior to the event and a clear plan of how our kitchen staff, employees, and resources would all be spread throughout the special occasions. To make this type of day successful, it was imperative for all Giancarlo’s staff to be fully informed and ready to go.“It is absolutely amazing how a space can be transformed whether it is a backyard or an artsy industrial location, it is just so cool” -Olivia Quinlan, Catering Manager.
One of our weddings was a 260 person backyard wedding, which was an incredibly elegant and tasteful occasion for all who attended. Guests truly felt like they were traveling through different places, as the reception cocktail area and wedding ceremony were all spread out over two backyard areas. Old pictures of the bride and groom were scattered throughout the backyard, so the guests were watching the love story unfold like a movie. The beautiful reception area with assigned seating, included a dual buffet splitting the tent.
Because of this set up it was so important for us to stay focused at all times. A detailed plan was very necessary in the outcome of this wedding, where servers were aware on all parts. The fact that there was a far distance between the kitchen area and reception was a new challenge, but we were able to manage it.
Another wedding we put on was a beautiful 237 person artistic wedding, as the reception was in an industrial space in downtown Buffalo. Our goal was to make everything about this wedding abundant, with red wine pouring and truly feeling like you were moving into the future of their love story. The very elegant and tasteful style of the bride and groom was evident throughout the occasion. It was very important to Giancarlo’s that the personalities of the guests of honor were shown. A clear plan was also imperative to the outcome of this wedding. This wedding was different for us as the kitchen and reception were both on separate floors. Our chefs and staff had to continuously be communicating throughout the night. We were able to create the kitchen and transform it to how we execute food. Giancarlo’s absolutely transformed this space to perfect the night for the happy couple.
